Enabling complete control and connectivity of a building's technology for every room and every application, Premier offers a centralized hub to harnesses electronic control with seamless connectivity. ermostats are monitored and smart climate control can be adjusted from from the same touch screen used to control lights, shades and home entertainment systems. Clients hosting a dinner party can, with a simple tap on their smartphone, alter their home's lighting, lower the ambient temperature, select appropriate music and limit interruptions from the digital world. Premier systems allow customers who are away from home to view their surveillance cameras, unlock doors if someone forgets the key, or adjust their home temperature — all from their favorite mobile device. Crucial to the implementation of a fully functional and effective electronic system is the follow-up and aftercare, something that Barth takes very seriously, and cannot overemphasize. "To me the most important thing for us right now and going forward is the maintenance and upgrades of these systems," he explains. "Now that everything is digital, software needs to be updated. Just as you don't purchase a new car and expect it to run for 10 years without occasional servicing, these systems need regular attention." Continuing with Jason's automotive analogy, although many companies offer an alarm service with monitoring for roughly the annual cost of a gently used Yugo, and although one might happily purchase a pair of functional speakers for the iPod or a dimmer switch for the hallway for roughly one-tenth of that, these are not things that are going to add significantly either to one's security or domestic bliss. What Premier offers is the Maserati, the BMW and the Mercedes of smart home technology, all bundled into one sleek, dependable package. eir company brochure says it best: "Smart home technology adds convenience, comfort, and peace of mind." It's pretty cool too! sl Premier Luxury Electronic Lifestyles at the Indiana Design Center, 200 S. Rangeline Rd., Suite 118, Carmel.
